The World Ahead 2024

The 38th edition of The Economist’s future-gazing analysis, The World Ahead 2024, builds on more than three decades of publishing success. As countries with a collective 4.1bn population prepare to hold elections in 2024 (more than in any previous year), it will consider regional factors such as the ongoing geopolitical shifts caused by the war in Ukraine; the new cold war between the US and China, and growing competition over the race for green-energy transition.

You are invited to join Economist Intelligence Corporate Network for The World Ahead 2024 event, as director Sam Rolland reveals EICN’s top forecasts for 2024 and examine critical topics that will shape the year ahead. Following our session, the EICN Johannesburg will sit down and close off the year with a relaxing and social braai with our network members and reflect on the year that was.
