Gen Z and the four-day week

At this session, we will explore the results of a survey being conducted by the EICN on global and regional talent trends, looking in particular at the impact of a four-day work week, as well as the experiences of Generation Z employees in adapting to the modern working environment.

About the event

The UAE government switched to a four-and-half day working week in January 2022, with Sharjah’s public sector employing a three-day weekend. Meanwhile, many companies around the world have participated in trials of a four-day working week and some have have decided to stick with the new working model.

So, will a four-day working week be adopted more widely in the Middle East and how might it affect businesses and employees? And how is the next generation of employees (Gen Z) approaching the post-pandemic world of work, its structures, timetables and disciplines?

Join us and a panel of regional employment experts as we unpack how firms have adapted to changing company culture and built for the future and for their next generation workforce.
