A balancing act: risk and reward in Asia

At the end of each year, The Economist Corporate Network—the advisory, briefing, and executive dialogue service of The Economist Group—gathers input from organisational executives throughout Asia on their views about existing and anticipated business conditions. The Asia Business Outlook Survey report summarises and analyses findings for forward-looking perspectives on what businesses can expect for Asia in 2021.It’s been a tumultuous year, but according to this year’s survey, Asia-based executives have expressed an unprecedented level of optimism despite the ongoing pandemic. Respondents were generally optimistic about the future business outlook in Asia, with 10% of respondents upgrading their views up from only slightly optimistic to full optimism.
